Before I ever became familiar with the law of attraction and the tools or language for this work, one thing was certain, I desired to live an extraordinary life.

Mediocrity just never felt like my calling. Maybe you’ve felt that too—the quiet knowing that you were made for something more. If you are remotely familiar with the law of attraction or follow Oprah you might be like I was, believing the key was simple: set an intention and it will happen. And sometimes it did. When I set my focus before an activity, more often than not, things worked out in my favor.

But there were times… they didn’t.

I’ve watched so many people set clear intentions with the purest of hopes, only to feel stuck or disappointed when things didn’t shift. I’ve been there myself. And for years, I also believed hard work was the answer. Coming from my background—working 12-hour night shifts in the hospital—it made sense. Sweat equity was my currency. And yet, I began to notice something, some of the most successful people I admired had never worked a grueling day in their lives. Not like I had. Not in the trenches, body aching, soul-weary. And here they were: thriving, successful, and for the most part, fulfilled.

On the flip side?
There were people working hard—hustling non-stop—who were still deeply unhappy, even miserable.

That’s when it hit me:
Hard work, while noble, will only take you so far.
There’s something even more powerful… and it’s energy.

More specifically, the Law of Attraction

You’ve probably heard of it. The concept first caught fire in mainstream culture with The Secret in 2006. Esther and Jerry Hicks spoke of it long before then, but that documentary cracked it open for the masses. And yet, despite its popularity, many people are still confused about how it works. Maybe you’ve wondered the same.

Here’s the truth:
The Law of Attraction isn’t just about thinking positive thoughts, although that helps.
It’s about cultivating the energy behind those thoughts.

Modern science is catching up to what ancient teachings have known all along. There’s a profound connection between our thoughts, emotions, and the reality we experience. But for those of us who haven’t experienced something that extreme, it can still be subtle—and insidious. You can feel stuck. And when you’re stuck, your reality starts to reflect it.
